The school operates a bilingual French–American program for toddlers through 5th grade in the heart of Paris. Meals are prepared on-site in the canteen, with hot lunches or packed lunches available, and a calm, supervised dining environment. The school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with classes starting at 8:45 a.m. and daily recess, plus a weekly library session. Beyond the classroom, learning includes nature trips, cultural outings to museums, music and theatre classes, pony camp, and swimming. After the school day, a variety of supervised after-school activities are offered, including ESL-based English, LEGO engineering, chess, visual arts, and introductory Chinese.
Two native-speaking teachers per class deliver the dual French–American program. Small class sizes average 15 to 20 students, enabling individualized attention. The curriculum focuses on reading, writing, numeracy, and reasoning within the French–American dual program that blends French rigor with American collaboration and oral confidence. Weekly library sessions support reading development as part of the Early Childhood and Primary School programs. The school's bilingual approach emphasizes language development and comprehension through structured, age-appropriate instruction.
Extracurricular activities include Playful, immersive English (ESL-based) through games, music, visual arts, and creative challenges; LEGO engineering and construction to explore foundational engineering concepts; chess and strategic thinking to develop concentration and problem-solving; visual arts and creativity workshops; and an introduction to Chinese. After-school activities are supervised on campus by trusted partners. Beyond the classroom, outdoor education programs, cultural visits to museums, music and theatre classes, pony camp, and swimming are part of the Lennen experience.
Lennen Bilingual School, established in 1960, provides a dual-language education for children aged 2 to 11 in Brussels. The primary campus is located in the Etterbeek district, adjacent to the European Quarter. The school operates a 50/50 immersion model where students alternate daily between English and French instruction. This structure allows pupils to follow the British National Curriculum alongside the French National Curriculum. Class sizes are capped at 20 students per group. A distinctive feature of the school is its "Wednesday Afternoon Club," which offers thematic workshops and cultural outings during the half-day common in Belgian school schedules.
