Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school offers a bilingual kindergarten program for children aged three to five, which promotes social and cognitive development and lays the foundations for learning across many academic areas. The approach centers on developing intellectual curiosity and placing the child at the heart of their learning. Instruction is delivered in immersion, with native English or French speakers maintaining their mother tongue while building communication and literacy in a second language. The program also introduces a third language from age five, with German or Arabic as options, taught for one hour per week. The environment emphasizes inclusive, supportive learning and collaborative inquiry.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The inclusion policy treats diversity and belonging as central to the community. Inclusion is a culture of respect, diversity and sharing that fosters belonging. An individual is not excluded because of a difference since the community is varied and multicultural.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Language development is supported through immersion: native English or French speakers maintain and develop their mother tongue while acquiring communication and literacy skills in a second language. From age five, a third language can be chosen for one hour per week, such as German or Arabic, to support multilingualism.
