The International School of Stuttgart has two campuses, Degerloch and Sindelfingen. The Degerloch Campus comprises three modern buildings for ages 3–18, including an Early Years Nest with a dedicated playground, a Primary/Lower School with well-equipped classrooms and a cafeteria, and an Upper School with a gym, science labs, and spaces for Music, Art, and Languages, plus a rooftop library. The primary language of instruction is English, with German language offerings and opportunities to study Spanish and French. The Sindelfingen Campus is housed in a modern former bank building featuring a rooftop garden, a literature archive, and facilities for Kindergarten through Grade 10, including a flexible learning commons, a cafeteria, a music area, and renovated Science and Art/Design facilities, with an IT department to support student work. The Upper School Degerloch campus opened in August 2024, expanding learning spaces and resources available.
The Degerloch Campus includes a gym serving Lower School through Grade 5 and an Upper School gymnasium, alongside expansive athletic spaces. Sindelfingen offers playgrounds around the school and collaborates with Böblingen Sport Verein to enhance sports and health opportunities. Both campuses provide facilities that support physical education and extracurricular sports activities.
English is the primary language of instruction at Degerloch, with strong German language offerings and opportunities to study Spanish and French. Degerloch features well-equipped classrooms, science and technology labs, music and art rooms, a library, and flexible dining areas, all supported by technology and an IT department. Sindelfingen serves Kindergarten through Grade 10 with English as the primary language and a bilingual environment through German language programs, offering a flexible learning commons, a cafeteria, a music area, and renovated Science and Art/Design facilities, plus a rooftop garden and an IT department.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered to students in Grades 9–11. Erasmus+ accreditation provides opportunities for exchange and collaboration across Europe. Student leadership is supported through the Student Council, which leads student‑driven initiatives and events. The school also hosts Model United Nations (MUN) conferences in Europe.
Founded in 1985, the International School of Stuttgart (ISS) Degerloch campus serves students from age 3 to 18 through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. The campus recently expanded with a new facility in August 2024 that centers on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), featuring dedicated makerspaces and scientific laboratories. In the Early Years "Nest," children follow an inquiry-based model influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, utilizing dedicated outdoor learning areas and gardens. ISS emphasizes service learning, notably through its student-led KIVA micro-financing program which supports global entrepreneurs. The school provides a bus service for the regional community and offers language instruction in German, French, and Spanish. Classes are historically capped at 16 students to ensure individual attention. Located in a green suburb 15 minutes from the city center, the school balances local cultural integration with an English-language curriculum recognized by German educational authorities.
