History

St.George's Düsseldorf Rhein-Ruhr is part of St.George's The British International School, a group of independent British international schools with social responsibility at its heart. The founder, Marietta Horton, began the journey in 1985. The Düsseldorf campus opened a purpose-built site in 2012 and celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2013. The school joined COBIS and is COBIS-accredited, recognizing high standards in safeguarding, welfare, facilities, governance, and ethos. The Düsseldorf campus celebrated its 30-year anniversary in 2015, while the St.George's group marked its 35-year anniversary in 2020.

Community

St.George's Düsseldorf Rhein-Ruhr has a diverse community with more than 50 countries represented among students, parents, alumni and staff. Regular events and activities, such as fairs, sports days, and International Day, celebrate culture and achievement. Prize-giving ceremonies recognise notable achievements. Parent representatives serve as a bridge between families and school leadership, organise social events, and help new families settle in.

Parent-Teacher Association

Parent representatives are integral to the school community, acting as a bridge between families and the school administration. They ensure parents' voices are heard in regular meetings with school leaders. They support new families during transitions and help organise social events and other activities. They contribute to a collaborative home–school environment that enhances communication and involvement.
