Australian Independent School Jakarta is an independent international school in Indonesia offering a blended Australian Curriculum and IB pathway for students aged 3 to 18. Australian Independent School Jakarta teaches Australian Curriculum, IB (DP), Bespoke Curriculum for students aged 3 to 18.
The Australian Curriculum is applied with a differentiated, individualized approach to teaching and a balanced curriculum. The Australian Curriculum is applied from Preschool through to Year 10, with eight learning areas and seven general capabilities guiding learning. Senior students in Years 11 and 12 undertake the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), IB Courses, a School Based Program, or a Hybrid model. A Vocational Education & Training (VET) option is also offered for students pursuing pathways outside university. The program emphasises inquiry-based learning and the development of communication and critical-thinking skills.
Graduates have pathways to leading universities in Australia or globally, with successful progression through the IB Diploma Programme.
1. Applications for admission are accepted throughout the school year. AIS Jakarta follows the Australian Curriculum and the school year runs from January to December. At admission, students are evaluated for year-level placement with the aim of progressing to the International Baccalaureate Diploma and/or the AIS High School Diploma. The admissions team is available to assist applicants to ensure a smooth enrolment process.
1. The AIS Indonesia Scholarship Programme was launched in 2015 to provide opportunities for deserving Indonesian students each year. Four academic scholarships are available to academically talented Indonesian students who would benefit from and contribute to AIS's international campus in Pejaten, South Jakarta. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition, 100% of the IB Diploma exam fees, and 100% of the capital development fees for the duration of the program; the family covers other costs such as uniforms, camps, and extra-curricular activities. 2. Eligibility requires Indonesian citizenship residing in Indonesia, fluent English, an outstanding academic record, and alignment with the IB Learner Profile; applicants must not currently be enrolled at an AIS-Indonesia campus and must be in Year 10. 3. The application requires a completed Scholarship Application Form, school reports for the past two years, a 500-word essay, two passport photos, copies of the passport and birth certificate, SKHUN, and the Junior High School Certificate. 4. The deadline for the 2025 scholarship application is Thursday, 22 May 2025. 5. Applications are submitted by email to scholarship@ais-Indonesia.com with the required documents.
