The school has a uniform policy. Students must wear the uniform to school every day, which supports school culture, grooming, safety, and self-discipline. Uniforms include a polo shirt with navy bottoms; younger students wear navy shorts, girls may wear a navy skirt, and older students may wear beige trousers or beige skirts. A PE uniform is required for physical education.
Lunch is eaten on campus. Students remain at school during lunchtime and may bring healthy lunches from home in reusable containers; alternatively, a school-approved catering vendor is available to provide meals distributed by designated staff. Outside deliveries are restricted, and meals from home may be brought to designated areas following campus guidelines.
The school was initiated by the Putera Sampoerna Foundation (PSF), the social enterprise arm of the Sampoerna Group, dedicated to improving education in Indonesia. PSF operates within the Sampoerna Group to support Sampoerna Academy campuses in Jakarta, BSD Tangerang, Sentul, Medan and Surabaya.
Jakarta high school at Sampoerna Academy follows a global-focused international curriculum that combines Cambridge assessments with the IB Diploma Programme. From Grade 9, students study Cambridge IGCSE, with a fast-track option to complete IGCSE in Grade 10. In Grade 11, students may choose Cambridge A Levels or the IB Diploma Programme. The school offers IEYC for early years, Cambridge Primary and Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels, IB DP, Singapore Curriculum, and a Bespoke Curriculum. English is the language of instruction, and Mandarin is offered through a Mandarin Curriculum developed with Beijing Language and Cultural University. The L'Avenue Campus is located in Pancoran, Jakarta. Facilities include purpose-built, technology-integrated classrooms, dedicated safe spaces for social-emotional well-being, expansive outdoor areas, play and exercise spaces, a multifunction hall, playground, and wide hallways. Design Thinking, peer-to-peer mentoring, and college/career counselling are integrated, with guidance from Apple Teacher and Google Certified Trainers to support pathways to tertiary education.
