Sampoerna Academy was established in 2007. It operates seven campuses across Medan, Jakarta, BSD, Sentul, and Surabaya, including the L'Avenue Campus in Pancoran, Jakarta. It uses an integrated STEAM-based approach with IEYC for early years, Cambridge for primary and secondary, and IB for Grades 11-12, and provides pathways to tertiary education. English is the language of instruction and Mandarin is offered through a program developed with Beijing Language and Cultural University; the school is owned by PT Sekolah Sampoerna Internasional.
Literacy Festival 2024 was held in Tangerang Selatan as part of Sampoerna Academy's STEAM initiatives. STEAM Expo 2024 was staged across all campuses, including Jakarta, Sentul, BSD, Surabaya, and Medan. In 2024, students earned medals at World Scholar's Cup Bangkok Global Round. The school marked its 10-year anniversary in October 2024.
Jakarta high school at Sampoerna Academy follows a global-focused international curriculum that combines Cambridge assessments with the IB Diploma Programme. From Grade 9, students study Cambridge IGCSE, with a fast-track option to complete IGCSE in Grade 10. In Grade 11, students may choose Cambridge A Levels or the IB Diploma Programme. The school offers IEYC for early years, Cambridge Primary and Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels, IB DP, Singapore Curriculum, and a Bespoke Curriculum. English is the language of instruction, and Mandarin is offered through a Mandarin Curriculum developed with Beijing Language and Cultural University. The L'Avenue Campus is located in Pancoran, Jakarta. Facilities include purpose-built, technology-integrated classrooms, dedicated safe spaces for social-emotional well-being, expansive outdoor areas, play and exercise spaces, a multifunction hall, playground, and wide hallways. Design Thinking, peer-to-peer mentoring, and college/career counselling are integrated, with guidance from Apple Teacher and Google Certified Trainers to support pathways to tertiary education.
