Uniforms are compulsory at Sampoerna Academy Medan. Students wear a standard school uniform and a separate PE uniform; house shirts are worn for house events; Batik Day requires batik attire with dark trousers or a skirt; personal appearance rules restrict facial/body piercings, jewellery, and hairstyles; hijab is allowed and outerwear is limited to logo sweatshirts/hoodies.
Lunch is spent at school with an option to bring packed lunches from home or to use a school-approved catering vendor; meals from the catering service are distributed to students by designated staff.
The school uses a house system; students wear house shirts for house activities.

Sampoerna Academy Medan is a private day school in Indonesia serving students from age 2 to 15 with a cohesive, internationally oriented curriculum. The school begins with IEYC for early learning, then uses the Singapore Curriculum for primary, followed by Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels, with the IB Diploma Programme available in Grades 11 and 12. English is the language of instruction, and a Mandarin Curriculum is designed in collaboration with Beijing Language and Cultural University (BLCU). The campus features technology‑integrated classrooms, a spacious library, science laboratories including a chemistry lab, and dedicated arts and music studios.
