The team collaborates with teachers to support social and emotional development across the school.
The Student Services Team comprises school administrators, counselors, learning specialists and English Language Learning (ELL) specialists. SIS provides support for students with mild learning difficulties, including classroom accommodations and interventions, and uses differentiated instruction. It creates various support plans including Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and assists parents with testing arrangements and progress assessments, as well as providing recommendations for external assessments. English Language Learning (ELL) support is provided as part of SST services.
English Language Learning (ELL) support is a priority. SIS uses a sheltered immersion model in which all instruction is in English and students are expected to meet grade-level standards. Teachers co‑plan and co‑teach with the ELL specialists, employing scaffolded strategies to develop reading, writing, speaking and listening, with ongoing assessment and lesson differentiation.

The school endorses the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and is dedicated to providing a safe environment. Staff must identify and report suspected child abuse or neglect, with training and policy-based procedures, and cases may be reported to appropriate authorities or consulates as needed.
