Students may bring lunch from home or arrange lunch through YISPA at a modest cost, with supervision in the school canteen. Food deliveries, such as via Gojek, are not allowed; snacks are allowed but candies, chewing gum, and soda are not.

Governance and Ownership

The school is governed by the Yogyakarta Foundation for International Education (YPIY), the umbrella for YIS. The Foundation has a Governing Board (Pembina) that appoints an Executive Board (Pengurus) and a Controlling Board (Pengawas); YIS is one of four schools under the Foundation.
