Pio X International offers a four-year program divided into two biennial curricula: Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). At the end of each two-year period, students take external examinations in each subject studied. At the end of the four years, the IB Diploma is awarded, enabling access to universities worldwide and in Italy; the Ministry of Education recognizes the equipollenza, guaranteeing the validity of a State Diploma in language, science, or humanities. All subjects, except Italian, religion, and foreign language, are taught in English by IB-certified teachers; the Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS), Theory of Knowledge (ToK), and Extended Essay (EE) components form a core part of the IB Diploma. The student is placed at the center of a learning process where teaching and learning methods are structured to guarantee the development of the student's talents and person. Through the path organized around the Learner Profile, students develop high-level skills and competencies expected of a life-long learner—the citizen of today who never stops learning.
