Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Enrollment is open to all students likely to benefit from GIS Monza's educational programme and to all families who share and commit to GIS's vision and values. The Admissions Policy guides the admissions process and will be discussed with new families during Admissions Meetings. 2. Following the Admissions Policy, students can be enrolled into GIS Monza throughout the year. Class placements are based on age. 3. If a class has a waiting list, priority is given to siblings of current GIS students, applicants from the international community, and applicants who have confirmed that they will accept a place, in the order of their initial expression of interest. 4. Competence in English is not a prerequisite for admission; international students transferring to Italy may be admitted regardless of English ability and EAL provision will be made available by the school. Italian nationals and students transferring from Italian schools are admitted on the basis of the projected support needed to access the educational programme at GIS and on the basis of a negotiated agreement as to how the family should contribute to specific EAL provision. 5. Exceptions to open admission may occur for students with identified learning or behavioral issues where additional support is necessary on an individual basis; admission may be denied at the school's discretion if the student's needs cannot be met, such as if the student has been expelled, the family does not have a visa to live in Italy, the family does not align with the GIS philosophy, or the student's needs fall outside GIS Monza's available supports. 6. Villasanta office: Via Giacomo Matteotti 8, Villasanta; +39 039 228 7034; +39 389 542 0721. Trial days are welcomed, and visits can be booked to help families experience the school firsthand.

Waitlist

If a class has a waiting list, priority is given to siblings of current GIS students, to applicants from the international community, and to applicants who have confirmed that they will accept a place, in chronological order of their initial expression of interest.
