Churchill School & College was established by The Anglo Foundation, a sustainable nonprofit organization that fosters educational and cultural exchange between Mexico and the United Kingdom. The Anglo Foundation's history dates back to 1943, when it founded the Anglo Mexican Institute of Culture A.C. to strengthen ties between Great Britain and Mexico through English language teaching, teacher training, and a wide range of cultural events. In 1998, The Anglo expanded to form Churchill School, a bicultural and forward‑looking school offering classes from maternal through the third year of secondary. In 2003, Churchill College opened to upper secondary education, preparing adolescents and young adults for professional careers with high standards. Today, Churchill School & College have more than 25 years delivering formal education that is more than bilingual, with an excellent academic program.
Churchill School & College center students at the heart of everything we do, viewing each student as a unique person with multiple intelligences, talents, and interests that we recognize, value, and develop. We offer International Programs by combining the International Baccalaureate (IB Programme) and Cambridge International, delivering education with international standards. We apply Universal Design for Learning and provide 100% bilingual education, with students on average taking between 50% and 85% of their classes in English. Diversity is valued in an inclusive and safe environment, and the Churchill community hosts events such as safety drills, the Churchill Arts Fair 2024, and family talks.
Churchill School & College operates a two-campus model in Mexico City. Churchill School (Preschool–Secondary) is at Felipe Villanueva 36, Guadalupe Inn, and Churchill College (Bachillerato) is at Moctezuma 125, San Pablo Tepetlapa. The school combines the International Baccalaureate programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) with Cambridge International Education (IGCSE) to meet international standards. The Preschool uses a constructivist approach with Universal Design for Learning and begins IB in a bilingual, supportive setting. In Primary, English supports learning while developing emotional management and teamwork as students engage with IB and Cambridge curricula. In Secondary, English is the language of instruction for maths and science, with Cambridge feedback and ongoing IB integration. In High School, students undertake the IB Diploma and Cambridge IGCSEs, with small class sizes and a personalised vocational guidance programme. The school offers a 100% bilingual education, with 50–80% of classes in English. The Anglo Foundation established Churchill to foster bicultural exchange and academic programs for over 25 years.
