MathCounts, Math Olympics, and Model United Nations (MUN) activities include online simulations and face-to-face conferences in New York, Oxford, and Harvard. Cultural and library visits, science fairs, and events such as Green Expo support global awareness and academic outreach. ASOMEX-sponsored events provide additional academic opportunities.
Artistic activities include artistic initiation, ballet, cheerleading, regional dance, drama, hip hop, guitar, piano, violin, marimba, and orchestra. The student can choose from a vast catalog of artistic activities according to their age. Enrollment in each activity is subject to availability.
Junior High offers French Club and Model United Nations Club; High School offers Poetry Slam. Field trips and cultural activities begin in Preschool with visits to farms, botanical gardens, and Africam Safari, and continue in Primary with museum, park, and cultural center visits, Arboterra, Africam Safari, and the pyramid at Cholula. High School Model UN simulations occur in Toronto, Washington, D.C., and New York.
Junior High Student Groups include Environmental Awareness and Service Association, First Aid, French Club, Math3Matix, Model United Nations Club, Student Council, Service in Action Association, The Curious Minds, and Unity Team. High School Student Associations include the American School Ecology Committee (ASEC), American School Talent Association (AST), CAP Tech, Honor Society, IMPACT, MediCAP, PASMUN High Command, Poetry Slam, Scientific Society, Social Interaction Committee, SOUTH, Student Council, and Unity.
The school runs service and community programs including United Husky Community and American School Special Olympics. Service in Action projects take place in 7th–9th grades; High School hosts the International Buffet and Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) projects.
Student leadership is fostered through Student Council in Junior High and High School. High School offers leadership-oriented groups such as Honor Society, PASMUN High Command, and Unity, along with CAP Tech and other associations to develop professional skills.
Sports include track, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, flag football, and goalkeeping. Health services and fully trained school counselors provide age-appropriate support across campuses; more than 10 school counselors specialize in different stages of development.
Colegio Americano de Puebla is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programs, with AP options. It serves Preschool through High School (ages 1–18) in Mexico, hosting a diverse community of over 40 nationalities. The Diploma Program emphasizes breadth and depth and requires study in two languages; many DP courses are taught in English, and graduates receive a High School Certificate (BUAP) in addition to the DP. The Diploma Plan (Plan 06) includes 10th-grade courses in Arts and Design, Psychology, French, Anthropology, World History, German, Film, Geography, and Theater; 11th–12th grades include AP Biology, European History, AP Government and Politics, with electives across humanities, language, mathematics, sciences, and social sciences. The school integrates technology across campuses. Preschoolers explore programming and robotics; Primary features a Maker-focused Innovation class with a 3D printer; Junior High uses Chromebooks and Mac-enabled spaces; High School has computer labs, 3D printers, robotics, and a Makerspace. The Media Center houses 6,000+ books and digital resources, and the campus hosts a SAT/ACT center.
