The Puebla American School Foundation maintains facilities designed to encourage inquiry, action, interaction, and learning. The school community comprises more than 40 nationalities. Educational technology is used across Preschool through High School. More than 10 school counselors support the mental health and emotional well-being of students. The Puebla American School Foundation has been operating since 1942. Students learn to speak, listen, read, and write in both English and Spanish.
The Puebla American School is an International Baccalaureate World School offering Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program, along with AP/Pre-AP and Honors programs. The Diploma Program includes Theory of Knowledge. Education technology creates a 21st century learning environment; Preschool students learn basic programming and robotics; Primary uses a Maker-focused Innovation class with a 3D printer; Junior High has Chromebook classrooms and a Mac-enabled multimedia space; High School provides computer labs, 3D printers, robotics, and a Makerspace. The Media Center provides access to more than 6,000 books and digital resources, and the school is an authorized SAT and ACT test center.
Athletic and artistic activities are offered across the Puebla American School. Athletic activities include Introduction to athletics, Track, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, Flag football, and Goalkeeping. Artistic activities include Ballet, Cheerleading, Regional dance, Drama, Hip Hop, Guitar, Piano, Violin, Marimba, and Orchestra. Starting in Junior High, student groups include Environmental Awareness and Service Association, First Aid, French Club, Math3Matix, Model United Nations Club, Student Council, Service in Action Association, The Curious Minds, and Unity, with additional associations in High School. Service and cultural activities include United Husky Community, American School Special Olympics, PASMUN, and the High School's Creativity, Action, and Service projects, along with field trips such as to the farm, botanical garden, Africam Safari, and Cholula pyramid.
Colegio Americano de Puebla is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programs, with AP options. It serves Preschool through High School (ages 1–18) in Mexico, hosting a diverse community of over 40 nationalities. The Diploma Program emphasizes breadth and depth and requires study in two languages; many DP courses are taught in English, and graduates receive a High School Certificate (BUAP) in addition to the DP. The Diploma Plan (Plan 06) includes 10th-grade courses in Arts and Design, Psychology, French, Anthropology, World History, German, Film, Geography, and Theater; 11th–12th grades include AP Biology, European History, AP Government and Politics, with electives across humanities, language, mathematics, sciences, and social sciences. The school integrates technology across campuses.
