Extended Day runs from 14:00 to 16:00 and is available for families needing after-school care. It includes a healthy meal service. There is teacher supervision and assistance with completing assignments, plus playful and recreational activities.
Arts Academies develop communication, expression, and artistic appreciation in a playful, critical, and constructive way. Artistic inquiry promotes imagination and creativity. The program offers theatre, music (orchestra, vocal ensemble, and rock group), and visual arts. Artistic projects are presented three times during the school year: a December progress showcase, a March project presentation, and Recitals, Exhibitions, and Theatre Works in various city spaces and with social institutions.
The school offers three International Baccalaureate programs and is the only IB center in San Luis Potosí. The IB programs are designed to develop critical thinking and the ability to communicate in more than one language. The school is part of the global IB World Schools network. The IB programs include the Primary Years Programme (PEP), the Middle Years Programme (PAI), and the Diploma Programme (PD).
Sports Academies develop habits that contribute to physical fitness and highly collaborative teamwork. They emphasize character development with resilience in the face of challenges. Athletics offerings include Athletics, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. Teams participate in leagues and tournaments such as the Liga Polideportiva.
Leadership is promoted among students. The educational system emphasizes collaborative work and leadership. Students develop leadership and professional skills through school programs and activities.
Meals are provided as part of the after-school program, based on healthy and balanced foods. There is supervision and guidance by teachers in completing tasks, and a range of playful and recreational activities. Afternoon activities include arts and sports that support physical and motor development.
Colegio Internacional Terranova is a private day school in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, educating children from early childhood through upper secondary (ages 0–18). It delivers three International Baccalaureate programmes—PYP, MYP and DP—alongside the national curriculum. Instruction is in Spanish, with English as a second language and a third language offered in middle school to support multilingual communication. Terranova is an IB World School authorized for PYP (2011), MYP (2013), and DP (2017). The campus has grown since 2003 and includes a high school facility opened in 2018, with Kindergarten through Secondary levels, arts spaces, science laboratories, libraries, and IB spaces (BI1, BI2), plus theatres, a cafeteria and on-site nursing.
