The emblem is a snail taken from a book of pre-Columbian hieroglyphs. The waves indicate water, and the symbol's meaning is connected to water, fertility, and life. In Mexica cosmogonical thought, Ameyalli signifies the genesis of nature and is linked to the deities Quetzalcóatl and Tláloc, with Quetzalcóatl sometimes depicted with the snail motif and Tláloc associated with water, a symbolism that conveys a deep philosophy and ancestral mysticism.

Community
The Department of Communication and Culture handles internal and external communications and organizes events, camps, exchanges, trips, environmental campaigns, new technologies, innovations, and cultural projects.
