Admissions: Escuela Lomas Altas is an inclusive school welcoming families and students from diverse nationalities, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and religions. The admission process assesses candidates to determine if the school is the proper educational choice for their personal, social and academic development, and involves collaboration with parents to support the students' needs. Parents' interview with the Principal. 6. An email is sent with the outcome of the admission process and steps to finalize enrollment. Administrative requirements include 7.1 Letter of Commitment, 7.2 Tuition and Payments, 7.3 Reimbursement of school fees, and 7.4 Withdrawal from school. Tuition and payments: tuition is charged from September to June on a 10 month basis; if paid on a 12 month basis, there are double payments in November and May. Registration is due in March. Payments are deposited to Banco Santander account 92000858955 in the school's name. Tuition is due the first eleven days of each month, with a 10 percent surcharge starting on the 12th day and a further 10 percent if payment is made after the last day of the month. If three months of tuition are not up to date, the school will require the removal of the student. The school is an IB World School authorized to implement the Primary Years Programme and is incorporated into the SEP, giving all students the benefits of local official education such as textbooks and report cards. The language of instruction is full immersion in English from Nursery through Pre-first, while the Primary is fully bilingual; the languages of instruction are English and Spanish. The school office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Escuela Lomas Altas is an IB World School in Mexico offering the Primary Years Programme for Preschool and Primary. The curriculum is inquiry-based and organized around Units of Inquiry, with total immersion in English and Spanish—roughly half of the content in each language. The school maintains a 1:6 teacher–student ratio to enable individualized attention, and sixth graders graduate bilingual in English and Spanish, prepared to continue in the junior high of their choice. Preschool and Primary curricula are incorporated into SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública). Founded in 1976, the campus emphasizes multilingual engagement and cross-cultural understanding, supported by a library of about 15,000 volumes in English and Spanish. The outdoor facilities include a hard-surface basketball court and a play area. Extracurriculars span sports (basketball, football, handball), drama, music, chess, robotics and Stop Motion.
