The IB continuum is offered, including the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The Diploma Programme was authorized in 1997, the Middle Years Programme in 2016, and the Primary Years Programme in 2019. IB education develops thinking, social, communication, self-management and research skills through conceptual learning. It prepares students for study at top universities in México and around the world.
Extended Learning includes music, drama and a range of performing arts. The JFK Orchestra and JJ Drama Club are part of Extended Learning. Dance offerings include Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance) and Jazz Funk, with Stage Lab and Doblaje (Dubbing) as additional options.
The school actively recruits international students into a bilingual/bicultural language program. SWAS (School-Within-a-School) teaches language skills through content and aims to mainstream students into regular classrooms. SWAS serves Elementary through High School with language support and cross-curricular instruction.
National Honor Society offers membership for 10th–12th grades based on scholarship, leadership, service and character. The school hosts a Model UN event called Union & Peace in the Fall, where students practice parliamentary procedure and leadership. High School students can participate in Student Council to lead events and develop leadership and teamwork. TEDxYouth@JFKQRO provides student-led talks that foster communication and presentation skills.
Volunteering and service are supported through a Volunteers program that includes community service campaigns, environmental initiatives via Ecoclub, and fundraising activities. The program covers campaigns such as 'Viste a un niño' and local drives, plus environmental projects like reforestation and recycling. The school supports institutional development campaigns and parent associations that coordinate community events.
NHS emphasizes leadership through scholarship, service and character. Model UN develops leadership and professional skills, including research, debate and collaboration. Student Council provides leadership and organizational experience through peer representation and event planning. TEDxYouth supports youth leadership and professional communication through student-led talks.
Extended Learning offers after-school activities including Yoga, Parkour, Jazz Funk and Ballet, as well as ensembles like the JFK Orchestra and Drama programs. The program emphasizes physical activity, teamwork, healthy habits and a sense of belonging in a safe, supervised environment. Activities promote well-being through creative expression, sports and structured recreation.
John F. Kennedy The American School of Querétaro is a private, non-profit, secular K‑12 institution serving students aged 3 to 18. It offers bilingual and bicultural education within an American educational tradition and provides an International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP in kindergarten and elementary, MYP in grades 6–10, and the Diploma Programme in grades 11–12) alongside an American Curriculum.
