It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The school is a private, non-sectarian, non-profit institution that offers a bilingual and multicultural education within the context of American educational traditions. It has more than 50 years of history in international education. In 1964 a group of Queretaro businessmen, headed by the TREMEC Company, established a bilingual and bicultural school for the children of its foreign executives. The school began with 30 students in the Cimatario section and moved to Hacienda la Laborcilla; the Preschool section started in 1967, followed by Elementary and Middle in 1968, and in 1970 relocated to Jurica Campestre on land donated by the Torres Landa family. High School began in 1989 with help from several companies and 50 sponsoring families; in 1994 the adjacent 1.5-acre lot was acquired for an auditorium/gymnasium; today the school is recognized throughout Mexico and abroad.
Events promote community spirit and raise funds to improve school infrastructure. Traditional events include Kermesse and Mercadito Navideño; others are designed based on community input, such as the Xtreme Challenge and Thanksgiving Dinner. The site also highlights fundraising avenues such as Giving to JFK and How to Donate.
The Parents' Association acts as the communication bridge between the school and the parents for continuous improvement. It channels questions and concerns to school staff and teaches parents how to arrange appointments with the section Principal. It promotes community and helps optimize the budget to benefit the school at the best possible cost. Officers are chosen near the end of the academic year, with formal nominations and elections at the first Parents Association meeting, and there is an organizational structure with a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Grade Level Representatives and Class Representatives across Preschool, Elementary and Middle School.
