Holistic Development is a core focus at the Peterson Schools. The school creates a warm, caring environment to foster students' self-esteem and to develop their natural talents. Emotional Development aims to shape students into responsible, mindful citizens who can influence others positively in their environment and community. Social skills are developed through ongoing interaction with peers and faculty, reinforcing collaboration and respectful relationships. The school's values—Creativity, Curiosity, Honesty, Loyalty, Respect, and Responsibility—are embedded in everyday learning.
Total immersion in English is central to instruction, with English used across the curriculum. The curriculum is bilingual, with roughly half the modules taught in English and half in Spanish. English language proficiency is developed as a core aim, and subjects such as Science and Mathematics are taught in English to foster critical thinking and confident communication. Preschool through high school programming includes English as a language of instruction and ongoing language development opportunities.
The Psychology and Pedagogical Department works with students and parents to support overall progress and psychological health. Psychologists and teachers collaborate to prevent bullying and to support emotional well‑being. The program is connected to healthy parenting skills and matters related to the student's progress and development.
The school has a Child Safeguarding Policy and a range of safeguards, including a Code of Conduct for Parents, Volunteers, Visitors and Suppliers; a Legal Framework; a Code of Conduct for Employees; a Child Safety and Sexual Abuse Policy (May 2023); a Video Surveillance System Security Policy and Protocol; and a Safeguarding Incident Report Form.
