The Wingate School is a private British international school in Huixquilucan, Mexico City, educating students aged 3 to 18 in English with SEP Spanish to support bilingual proficiency. The curriculum follows a progression from the IEYC and IPC to Lower Cambridge, IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Cambridge IGCSE is studied in Forms 4 and 5, with the first cohort in 2024. The Secondary section opened in 2019 and has grown. It is accredited as a Cambridge International School and authorised IB World School. It is part of Inspired Education, offering exchanges and holiday camps. The campus covers 40,000 square metres across two blocks, with facilities for academics, sport, arts and outdoor learning. Instruction is in English, with SEP Spanish subjects supporting bilingual development; the school emphasises art, music, drama and sport, plus character education. The campus also offers outdoor learning, equestrian activities and a robust co-curricular programme.

The campus is described as large, with purpose-built facilities and views of the surrounding hills. Bus service covers most of the Western (Poniente) areas of the city, including Polanco; routes are GPS-monitored and supervised by a bus monitor; buses arrive by 07:55 am and depart 14:45 (Monday–Thursday) and 13:30 (Friday); a late bus is available leaving at 16:20 for extracurricular activities.

The Wingate School teaches in English, and the Primary curriculum is delivered in English with Spanish taught about 20% of the time as a language and through Mexican history and geography. The school is fully incorporated into the Mexican Ministry of Education (SEP). The curriculum emphasizes art, physical education and music; art is taught through IPC units, students learn instruments such as the violin, viola, cello, double-bass and percussion, and two PE lessons are provided per week. The technology program develops 21st-century skills including creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, information literacy and critical thinking. The curriculum follows a structured progression from IEYC and IPC to Lower Cambridge, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme; Cambridge IGCSE is studied in Forms 4 and 5, with the first cohort in 2024. The Secondary section opened in August 2019 and has grown since.
The Wingate School runs a School of Character that embeds virtues and values into daily learning from kindergarten onward, fostering integrity, resilience, and social responsibility. It is a Cambridge International School and an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The curriculum follows a structured progression from the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) through Lower Cambridge, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme. The IB Diploma Programme is taught in English by highly qualified teachers, and a pathway to the IB Bilingual Diploma is available through Spanish as a language option. Main classroom teachers are native English speakers. The school offers online and flexible admissions processes as well as transition support for families relocating to Mexico City. Information sessions for the 2023-2024 Academic year were held on October 8, November 26, and January 28. The admissions process consists of an interview with the parents and an evaluation of the pupil. A registration for information sessions is available, and a virtual tour is offered. Mid-year admissions are possible provided places exist; please contact the School Office to verify availability and next steps. Applicants from abroad can arrange long-distance interviews and submit electronic documents. The Wingate School has over 520 students, more than 75 academic teaching staff, and about 30 nationalities in the school community. 100% of primary students learn to play a musical instrument.
