Founded by its Founder and President Said Kouhaila more than 25 years ago, American Academy Casablanca has grown into a PreK–12 school. The school hosts students and teachers from more than 40 countries, forming a diverse community. AAC is Cognia-accredited and recognized by the Moroccan Ministry of Education as an official American school. Last year, AAC passed its five-year IBDP review with flying colors and has since expanded its DP course offerings.
The school hosts Parent-Teacher Conferences and Semester Kickoff to engage families. IB Diploma Programme milestones and enrichment events include Mock Examinations for DP1/DP2, a Hamlet film screening, and a photography exhibition. AAC's Middle School hosts a cultural exchange with Chinese students for a week, and Grade 8 introduces an Artificial Intelligence curriculum. Ramadan-adjusted hours during the period are 9:00 AM–2:40 PM.
The PTO provides support for the school's educational mission and offers an avenue for school leadership to receive feedback from families. Two elected parent representatives sit on the Community Board alongside elected staff and students. Elections to choose the two leaders are held during Open House sessions. American Academy Casablanca is a private international school serving students ages 3 to 18. The curriculum blends US Common Core Standards with Moroccan Ministry guidelines and IB expectations; AP and IB DP courses are available in high school. The school is Cognia-accredited and recognized by the Moroccan Ministry of Education as an official American school. The Casa Green Town campus covers four hectares and includes 71 classrooms, laboratories, a library, an auditorium/theater, a cafeteria, a gym, and a 25-meter pool, sports fields, basketball and tennis courts, and two elementary playgrounds. The program is vertically aligned from early years to high school, with cross-subject connections. In high school, DP and AP courses are offered with outlines. The school emphasizes inquiry-based, student-centered learning and multilingual global citizenship, with Scope and Sequence documents for Arabic, English, French, math, science, social studies, art, music, and PE. After-school activities, arts programs, and cultural exchanges enrich the experience.
