Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

The ISE provides a range of after-school activities for Primary and Secondary students. The program is structured in two periods, P1 and P2, with sign-ups through SchoolsBuddy. Student Councils in both Primary and Secondary lead projects and initiatives that extend learning beyond the classroom. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the International Baccalaureate (IB), underpinning its commitment to ongoing development.

Arts and Creative

The ISE supports arts and theatre with a dedicated theatre space in the Sparrow Building and regular student performances. An Open Afternoon showcases creativity, with students performing and an exhibition of their work. The campus hosts theatre and visual arts exhibitions as part of celebration events. After-school activities include arts-related options for Primary students as part of the structured program.

Cultural and Language

ISE is a multicultural and language-friendly community with more than 60 nationalities and more than 40 languages spoken. The international curriculum and extensive extracurricular activities foster mutual respect and understanding among students and staff. The Primary and Secondary Student Councils lead culturally inclusive initiatives such as buddy benches and other peer-support projects. Cultural awareness and language development are integrated into school life through diverse student projects and events.

Social and Hobbies

ISE offers a wide range of after-school activities for Primary students designed to help them discover and develop interests. The program runs in two periods (P1 and P2) with separate registrations to broaden participation. Student Councils support social development through initiatives such as the Buddy Bench and Bottle Initiative. Secondary students participate in after-school activities and student-led projects that build social connections and hobbies.

Community and Service

The Student Councils organise community service initiatives, including the Bottle Initiative to collect refundable bottles and donate funds to Mary's Meals, a charity that provides meals to children in need. The Buddy Bench project supports new students in making friends and integrating into the community. The school fosters a caring and supportive community through student-led service projects and partnerships.

Leadership and Professional

The ISE has primary and secondary student councils. Students are elected by their peers; Primary Council members are from groups 6, 7, and 8 and serve 2-3 years, while Secondary Council includes DP1, MP5, and MP1–MP4 leadership roles. Councils oversee initiatives such as the Bottle Initiative, the Caring Wolfcub project, and Spirit weeks, providing real-world leadership experience. DP1 students act as advisers to the council, supporting leadership development across the school.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Sports are an essential part of ISE education, teaching teamwork, dedication, and self-confidence. The after-school sports program offers recreational and competitive options and aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and community spirit. Activities are organized in Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons with separate sign-ups for each season. Sign-up instructions, costs, and registration details are provided prior to each season.
