Dutch lessons are given within the International Primary Department and English lessons are given within the Bilingual Primary Department. The Primary International Department follows the National Primary Curriculum from England. In the International Secondary Department, Language B is offered in Dutch, French, Spanish and English. Other mother tongue languages are offered via the IB School Supported Self-Taught Literature course.
ISE offers Primary International, Primary Dutch Bilingual, and Secondary education. The Bilingual Primary Department provides bilingual education with 30% of lesson time in English and 70% in Dutch. In Groups 1–2, Dutch is the language of instruction in the morning (Mon–Thu) with English explanations when needed, and on Thursday afternoon and Friday the language of instruction is English. Groups 3–8 receive three weekly English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lessons; gym is taught in English and class teachers use English in selected lessons to support the themes. The Bilingual Primary Department comprises eight age groups (Groups 1–8) and uses a theme-based approach, including Alles in 1 for Groups 4–8.
Tweetalig Primair Onderwijs (TPO) provides English instruction for 30% of lesson time in the Bilingual Primary Department. Dutch lessons are taught within the International Primary Department and English lessons are taught within the Bilingual Primary Department for all students. Home languages are valued with after-school tutoring available; current home language tutors include Turkish, Spanish, French, Italian and Chinese.
International School Eindhoven (ISE) is a Dutch international non-profit school delivering three curricular pathways across two campuses near Eindhoven. The Primary International Department (ages 4-11) follows the English National Primary Curriculum through a project-based, thematic approach, while the Primary Dutch Bilingual Department (ages 4-12) delivers the Dutch Kerndoelen with about 30% of lessons in English, taught by EFL teachers. The Secondary Department (ages 11-18) offers the International Baccalaureate framework, with the IB Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme.
