Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fee

- QAR 500 — non-refundable; payable at application submission. Payment methods accepted for the application include credit card (online), check payable to the American School of Doha, or electronic bank transfer (USD 137.00 equivalent per application when paying by international transfer). Bank transfer details (Commercial Bank of Qatar: beneficiary American School of Doha, A/C 4010-319058-001, SWIFT CBQAQAQA, IBAN QA82CBQA000000004010319058001) are used for electronic payments; proof of payment must be provided to admissions.

Registration fee

- QAR 3,796 — one-time registration fee per child; non-transferable and non-refundable.

Capital fees (annual / per semester)

- Pre‑Kindergarten (Pre‑K3 & Pre‑K4): QAR 10,950 per year (QAR 5,475 per semester).
- Kindergarten – Grade 12: QAR 14,600 per year (QAR 7,300 per semester).

Capital fees are billed per child, per year in addition to tuition; they support capital maintenance, equipment and facilities. Capital fees are assessed for the full semester if a student attends any day during that semester.

Tuition fees (per semester and per academic year) — by year group

- Pre‑Kindergarten (Pre‑K3 & Pre‑K4): QAR 18,285 per semester — QAR 36,570 per year.
- Kindergarten – Grade 5: QAR 30,491 per semester — QAR 60,982 per year.
- Grade 6 – Grade 12: QAR 39,653 per semester — QAR 79,305 per year.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- All tuition and fees are due and payable prior to the start of each academic semester. The tuition fee is billed on a yearly basis for students sponsored by a company (corporate-sponsored billing); individual families are billed on a semester basis. Late or unpaid accounts may result in students not being permitted to attend classes if payments are not made within two weeks of the due date. For students enrolled after the start of a semester, a full-term tuition fee will be assessed regardless of start date within the semester. Capital fees are assessed for the full semester for any student who attends one or more days during that semester.

Re-enrollment deposit

- QAR 2,000 per child — non-refundable deposit due at re-enrollment to secure a seat for the next academic year; this deposit is deducted from the tuition fee.

Other student fees and charges

- Graduating seniors: QAR 380 (assessed fee).
- AP and IB examination fees: charged per course at the appropriate exam fee rate.
- One-to-one laptop program: QAR 250 mandatory fee for students in Grades 5–12.
- Device damage charge (first incident, PK4–Grade 12): QAR 500 (repair/parts); second occurrence assessed at full cost of repair or replacement. Repairs for manufacturer defects are covered by warranty and not charged to the student. Additional course or activity-specific fees may apply.

Refund and withdrawal policy

- Private-pay students who withdraw during the first semester within the first 10 school days may be eligible for a partial refund: charges are applied at 2% of the semester tuition per school day attended (or until withdrawal), up to a maximum charge of 20% of the semester tuition. No refunds are issued if the student attends or withdraws on the 11th day of the semester or after. If a private-pay student withdraws during the second semester, no refund is issued after the first day the student attends the second semester; fees are due and payable. Capital fees have no credit or refund after the first day a student attends. The same 2% per day (up to 20%) rule for the first 10 school days applies to corporate-sponsored accounts for first-semester withdrawals; corporate billing follows similar no-refund rules after those windows.

Boarding

- The American School of Doha operates as a day school. Boarding facilities and boarding fees are not applicable.

Payment options and contact for payments

- Accepted payment methods include credit card (online for application payments), check payable to the American School of Doha, and electronic bank transfer (international wire). The Business Office handles tuition and fee payments; bank transfer details are provided for electronic payments and proof of transfer is required when using wire transfer. For Business Office inquiries and payment arrangements, contact +974 4459 1520 or the Admissions Office at +974 4459 1511 / admissions@asd.edu.qa.

Notes on enforcement and billing practice

- Parents are responsible for prompt payment of all school fees. When corporate sponsorship applies, billing and invoicing may be issued on an annual basis to the sponsor. Failure to keep accounts up to date may affect enrollment and re-enrollment status. Capital and registration fees are non-refundable per school policy.
