Billing schedule and payment terms
- Invoices are issued each term; the school operates on two invoiced terms (semesters) per academic year and term invoices show the due date. Term invoices are the normal billing unit for tuition. Per‑term amounts above are the annual tuition divided equally across the two invoiced terms.
- The registration fee is due immediately after invoicing for an offer and secures the place. Fees for enrollment during a semester are calculated pro rata for that semester and are due within the period stated on the invoice. Installment plans are available in individual cases but normally require prior application and may involve a surcharge and post‑dated cheques.
Boarding fees
- The school is a day (non‑boarding) school; there are no boarding fees.
Other costs and recurring charges
- The tuition amounts do not typically include optional or third‑party charges: school transport, uniforms, textbooks, external examination fees, certain extracurricular activities and some specialist course fees are charged separately. Seat reservation/place reservation fees and similar one‑off charges may also apply. These additional costs are invoiced separately as required.
- First‑year total for a newly enrolled child will usually include the application fee and the registration fee on top of the annual tuition (example: for KG1 the first‑year total shown by published fee tables is Annual tuition QAR 31,088 plus registration and application fees).
Refund, cancellation and reductions
- The registration fee and place reservation fee are non‑refundable. Refunds and reductions (including sibling discounts or hardship reductions) follow the school's published fee and refund regulations and are dealt with by application to the school board or finance office; any partial refunds for mid‑term withdrawal are handled under the school's fee regulations. Installment surcharge and refund rules apply as stated in the fee regulations.
Payment methods and instructions
- Accepted payment methods include bank transfer in QAR to the school's Qatar bank account, QAR cheque and cash payments at the school finance office. Installment payments, when approved, may require post‑dated cheques and a small installment surcharge. The school's published fee materials list the bank account details for Qatari transfers.
Notes
- All figures above are presented in Qatari Riyal (QAR) and follow the school's published fee tables and widely published fee summaries. The school publishes a fee schedule/fee structure document that sets out exact invoicing dates, due dates, one‑off charges and the full list of items not included in tuition; those rules determine the precise payment deadlines, refund mechanics and any surcharge for installment arrangements.
The majority of students hold German citizenship; the school has students from multiple nationalities. The DIS-Doha has more than 300 students from diverse nationalities.
