Language learning opportunities and multilingual education

Language Provision

ASB uses English as the language of instruction for the IB Diploma Programme (100% English). In the Middle Years Programme, Language and Literature is taught in English and Spanish, and all students study Euskera as an additional language. Depending on MAP results and teacher recommendation, a student may take English as a Language Acquisition instead of Language and Literature.

Bilingual Teaching

ASB provides bilingual language education within the Middle Years Programme (ages 11-16). Language and Literature is taught in English and Spanish, and all students study Euskera as an additional language. Depending on MAP results and teacher recommendation, a student may take English as a Language Acquisition instead of Language and Literature. The Diploma Programme is taught entirely in English.

Immersion Programs

ASB offers English-language immersion through its Summer Programme for learners outside ASB; these courses are designed to learn or reinforce English using ASB's methodology. The Summer Programme includes Cambridge English exam preparation classes (B2 First/PreFirst and C1 Advanced/PreAdvanced). The program emphasizes total immersion in English on campus.
