Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The Counseling and Psychopedagogy Department is dedicated to the emotional well-being of every student. In the Infant stage, specialists focus on preventive support, diagnosing learning difficulties, and promoting language development, in collaboration with families and tutors. In Primary, Study Skills programs are implemented, social interactions are monitored, and learning obstacles are identified early. Comprehensive assessments support tailoring interventions such as educational reinforcement, speech therapy, and curriculum adaptations. For ESO and Bachillerato students, ongoing academic and emotional support and vocational guidance are provided through testing and personalized counseling, with a quarterly Parent Information Program and Orienta Program as part of the guidance services.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The Counseling and Psychopedagogy Department identifies learning difficulties through assessments and collaborates with families for psycho-pedagogical growth. In Infant stage, specialists diagnose learning difficulties and promote language development, with family involvement to support psycho-pedagogical growth. In Primary, comprehensive assessments lead to tailored interventions such as educational reinforcement, speech therapy, and curriculum adaptations. For ESO and Bachillerato students, ongoing academic and emotional support is provided as part of the school's guidance services.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is a core focus of the Culture of Care. The school believes students should feel safe, respected and connected, which supports engagement and resilience. The Culture of Care is designed to create a safe, supportive environment where students can raise concerns and receive help. A safeguarding-oriented, wellbeing-informed approach underpins daily practice, with staff trained to support emotional health. The Personal, Social, Health and Wellbeing dimensions are embedded in the curriculum alongside safeguarding and pastoral care.

Safeguarding

The Culture of Care commits to a safeguarding ethos: students are valued, heard and supported; staff are supported to thrive; families are welcomed as trusted partners; safeguarding policies are translated into daily actions; ongoing training is provided, and clear behaviour standards are consistently applied. The school centers safeguarding around three core values: Trust, Responsibility, and Equality & Diversity. Key safeguarding policies include Safeguarding & Child Protection, Anti-Bullying & Positive Behaviour, Staff Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing, Health & Safety, First Aid, and Digital Safety & Acceptable Use. Safer recruitment is practiced, with identity, qualifications and references checks, background screening, and continuous staff training. The safeguarding curriculum is delivered as part of a broader Personal, Social, Health and Wellbeing program, including Relationship & Sex Education, Protective Behaviours, and Digital Safety & Citizenship.
