Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a view of the mountains, five minutes from Ibiza city. Mestral serves students from Nursery to Baccalaureate years, ages 3 to 18. State-of-the-art facilities are adapted for each age group and support a wide range of activities across academics, sports, technology, and the arts. The campus includes specialist spaces and resources across arts, sciences, technology, and robotics, with expert teachers and counsellors guiding learners to develop future-ready skills and talents through the curriculum and extensive extracurricular options.

Sports Facilities

The school features a large, fully equipped multi-sports pavilion with climbing ropes and a climbing wall. There are two smaller outdoor fields for football and basketball, plus a large multi-sports field and ping-pong tables. A dedicated psychomotricity room supports younger children's development. Nursery and Primary pupils benefit from swimming lessons as part of Physical Education, using nearby municipal facilities. The campus also takes advantage of exceptional nearby municipal sports facilities to augment PE.

Academic Facilities

Mestral has a biology laboratory equipped with microscopes and a physics/chemistry laboratory for chemical experiments. These labs have been renovated and are fully equipped with new resources. Starting from primary school, students regularly use the labs to conduct science experiments. The school runs a one-to-one iPad programme, with most lessons using this tool to enhance learning. The ICT, technology, and robotics classrooms have been recently renovated, enabling students to code and explore tools such as robots, 3D printing, and drones, developing essential IT skills.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Performing arts play a key role in the curriculum. Learners use the school's auditorium for performances and presentations and take dance and drama lessons in purpose-built studios with mirrors. These studios support renowned dance and theatre techniques and free bodily expression. Students also refine Visual Arts and Technical Drawing skills and participate in Arts and Crafts workshops. A giant-sized chess board and a dedicated speech and debate room support creative thinking, and a circular Agora area in the playground is used for debates or outdoor classes.
