One-off and additional annual charges

- Registration fee (one-off on joining): EUR 1,200.
- Lunch service (annual): EUR 2,100 (equivalent to EUR 700.00 per term when charged termly).
- Bus service (annual): EUR 2,055 (equivalent to EUR 685.00 per term when charged termly).

Transport and lunch are charged on a termly basis; the registration fee is payable once when joining the school.



School materials, insurance and additional small fees

- School materials and accidents insurance (billed in September):
- Nursery - Year 4: EUR 305 per year.
- Year 5 - Year 9: EUR 245 per year.
- 3º de E.S.O. to 2º Bachillerato: EUR 155 per year.
- Tech fee (varies by grade): EUR 50 – EUR 100 per year.
- Accidents insurance item shown separately: EUR 24 (billed as shown in the schedule).
- English books are billed in October.
- Tuition includes one class photo per student and a yearbook per family.



Billing schedule and payment terms

- Tuition and optional services are billed termly. Tuition is billed in three instalments in September, January and April.
- Invoice due dates: first term before 29 August, second term before 5 January, third term before 5 April.
- Optional services such as dining, transport and extracurricular activities are contracted and invoiced on a termly basis; occasional single-day use may be invoiced monthly at a higher unit rate.



Payment methods, discounts and penalties

- Default payment method: automatic direct debit for all payments. Parents who do not agree with this method must notify the financial director in writing.
- Full-year payment option: it is possible to pay the entire course in a single payment with a 1.25% reduction for early payment if settled before 17 August.
- Late/non-payment: interest may be charged at the statutory rate for late payment. A EUR 15 charge applies for each bank rejection. Continued non-payment may result in legal measures, refusal of attendance and, after a sustained period, contract termination.



Refunds, cancellations and leaving the school

- From the moment the registration fee is paid, parents have a 15-calendar-day right to cancel the registration and receive a refund of amounts previously paid.
- The registration fee is payable the first time a pupil joins the school and the school states it corresponds to processing costs and is non-refundable in standard circumstances.
- Place reservation payments are held on account of tuition and, if paid, will be deducted from the September payment of the following academic year; the reservation carries a 15-day right of cancellation for refund in line with the reservation rules.
- Under no circumstances will fees already paid to the school be refunded once the academic year has started. Cancellations made during the school year will trigger payment of the full annual amount for school materials and insurance, and fees for the whole term will remain due if cancellation occurs during a term.
- A written three (3) months' notice is required for permanent withdrawal; parents are required to pay fees during that three-month notice period.



Boarding

- Boarding is not listed among the services or charges. No boarding fees are shown in the published fee schedule.



Other practical notes on charges and billing

- School trips and certain extracurricular activities that do not run the whole year are charged separately (trips usually charged in two instalments; excursions during the school day charged at the end of each term).
- Occasional single-day uses of dining or transport carry a higher per-unit charge and are invoiced monthly.

Kensington School Madrid is a British international day school serving ages 1 to 18. The campus in Pozuelo de Alarcón combines the English National Curriculum with options to study under the Spanish system in the later stages, and offers the Cambridge IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme from September 2023. English and Spanish are core language studies, with French as a third language, and senior students may choose the Kensington Bachillerato pathway, which reinforces language study and leads to Cambridge Proficiency and DELF B2 certificates. Founded in 1968, it is part of Inspired Education Group, a global network of schools.
