The school implements the International Baccalaureate continuum for students aged 3–18. The IB framework is applied with an emphasis on inquiry-based and collaborative learning, developing inquirers, knowledgeable and principled thinkers, good communicators, open-minded, caring, risk-taking and balanced individuals. English is a major medium of instruction across levels: in Early Childhood more than 90–92% of teaching is in English, Primary around 68%, and Secondary 40–60% of subjects are taught in English. English-language certification opportunities are available, including the Oxford Test of English.
The Conservatorio Profesional de Música is integrated into the school day, offering official Elemental and Profesional degrees with 17 instruments, including electric guitar, percussion, piano, violin and clarinet. A two-year Preconservatorio program prepares younger pupils for later Conservatorio studies. The cultural offering includes a music-focused program with ensembles such as orchestra, children's band, string orchestra and a Big Band, plus 10+ cultural activities like modern dance, theater, choir, painting and ceramics, jazz dance, chess and Galician dance.
Languages are taught within the school day: English, French, German, Chinese, Spanish and Galician. The school offers study abroad programs from two weeks to a full year and conducts student exchanges with Canada and France. The school offers more than 17 sports activities integrated into the school day, including swimming from age 3, artistic swimming, athletics, hockey, judo, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, rugby and more. Obradoiro Talks include topics like Painting in 3rd Grade and Healthy Eating in 2nd Grade (PYP).
In Secondary, students undertake Collaboration and Service activities, identifying needs in their environment and carrying out actions to serve the community. In the IB Middle Years Programme, students also develop a Personal Project that demonstrates self-management, research, communication, critical and creative thinking, and collaboration.
The school provides an Orientation Department offering academic, psychopedagogical and career guidance. In Bachillerato, there is a dedicated emphasis on preparing for higher education, including a university fair organized by the school. Some programs incorporate external English-certification opportunities (e.g., Oxford Test of English) and a range of CLUB activities that support leadership and personal development.
Obradoiro Talks cover topics such as Digital Health and Nutrition, promoting student well-being. The school runs health-conscious initiatives like Painting in early grades and Healthy Eating discussions (PYP). The EcoKitchen Canteen serves meals prepared with fresh, local produce, and the School also offers a Swim School and nursing services to support physical and mental well-being.
Obradoiro School is an international, non-denominational institution in Galicia, Spain, serving ages 0–18. It delivers the IB continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) alongside a French Curriculum.
