History

Founded in 1998 by a group of parents seeking an alternative, personalized, high‑quality education, The British School of Córdoba began on the La Colecilla estate with 60 pupils in five primary classrooms. In 2003 the school moved to its current Calle Mexico 4 campus, inaugurated by the British Ambassador Sir Peter Torry. The Foundation expanded in 2006 with the purchase of the Platero Nursery, extending the infant section, and the school has since received recognitions including the Andalucía Excelente Award in 2017, the European Technology and Innovation Award in 2022, and the Cordobeses of the Year Award in 2024. The head office was expanded in 2018, and the school marks 27 years of operation in 2025.
