Ajman Academy is a private, coeducational school established in 2012 in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. It was launched in April 2012 by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman, as the emirate's first IB-based school. The program began with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and expanded to include the Middle Years Programme, with progression toward Cambridge IGCSE/AS/A levels for Grades 9–12. Ajman Academy is an IB World School, with Primary Years Programme accreditation beginning in 2014 and reaccreditation in subsequent cycles (PYP reaccreditation occurred in 2018). The language of instruction is English and Arabic, reflecting bilingual offerings, and the school emphasizes technology-enabled learning, including a 1:1 iPad program and AI initiatives.
Ajman Academy hosts a diverse student body with more than 50 nationalities represented. It emphasises inquiry-based learning and technology integration, including a 1:1 iPad program and AI-focused initiatives. Co-curricular opportunities include leadership structures such as Eco Council, Student Council, Leader Coordinator, Head Boy/Girl, Sports Council, Prefects and Homeroom Leaders. Facilities include a 25-meter indoor swimming pool and dedicated spaces for libraries, music, art, design technology, science and IT.
Ajman Academy does not publish a formal Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in publicly accessible materials. There is documented parent involvement through events such as a 'Parents-Teachers Meeting' noted in a 2019 school newsletter. The school runs a structured Student Leadership Programme with roles including Eco Council, Student Council, Leader Coordinator, Head Boy/Head Girl, Sports Council, Prefects and Homeroom Leaders. Parent involvement appears to be organized around school events and communications rather than a standing PTA body. Public materials also show broad family engagement during community activities and cultural events associated with the school.
