Ajyal Al Falah's Learning Support is designed to strengthen a student's academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development. It uses a collaborative model that includes parents, the school/teacher, and the intervention or enrichment team. The department follows a Graduated Support Approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review), with assessments, planning, implementation, and progress reviews at the end of each school term. It supports students through multi-disciplinary meetings and multisensory, individualized instruction. In September 2022 the school partnered with KidsHeart Medical Center to provide Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Support, and Ta'leem Tutoring Centre provides additional Arabic, English, and Mathematics support after school or during vacations, extending learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
Ajyal Al Falah offers Learning Support with a dedicated Special Education Needs Coordinator and a Senior Management Team that reviews each child's needs against available resources on a case-by-case basis. The school lists several SEN categories it can address, including ADHD, Disability, Listening difficulties, Dyspraxia, Hearing impairment, Vision impairment, Reading difficulties, and Epilepsy. Assessments for students with SEN include instruments such as MAP, EPoC, Beery VMI, PPVT, EVT, Woodcock-Johnson, TOWRE, and DRA2, with referrals to medical or educational professionals as needed. The Learning Support and SEN Coordinator guide families through these processes and determine eligibility for additional services. The school states that admissions decisions for students with special needs are made on a case-by-case basis and that resources are a consideration; it does not describe itself as a dedicated SEN specialist institution.
Ta'leem Tutoring Centre provides after-school or vacation sessions for Arabic and English language support at Ajyal Al Falah. This indicates that EAL-related support is organized through external partnerships rather than a formal in-house EAL program. The Learning Support framework oversees language and other needs and coordinates with the tutors to identify and address individual language development goals.
Well-being and happiness are central to the Ajyal Al Falah community, with a focus on students' social and emotional development. The environment is described as inclusive, supportive, caring and safe. A well-qualified counselor is available to all students from Kindergarten to Middle School, conducting interactive sessions and coordinating with parents with consent. Pastoral care is embedded in teacher-student engagement across grade levels to support social-emotional growth, with homeroom teachers playing a role in middle school. Staff training includes safeguarding procedures and policies to prioritize student well-being and safety.
Safeguarding is a priority: staff training includes safeguarding procedures and policies to protect students. Ajyal Al Falah works in partnership with the Ministry of Civil Defense to emphasize student well-being and safety. A medical and health clinic on campus, with a nurse, ensures that student health is a high priority. The Human Resources Manager ensures that DBS checks and staff reference checks are conducted before appointments. Pastoral care and an anti-bullying, safe environment are integral across Kindergarten through Middle School.
