Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Dhruv Global School originated in Sangamner, Maharashtra, India, and began on 14 June 2005 with 182 students and 14 teachers. On 19 November 2007, it moved to a new 18‑acre campus at Dhandarphal, a move that accompanied rapid growth. The campus later earned a Best Architecture in 2010 award, marking a milestone in its development. By the end of the 2012–2013 academic year, the school served about 840 students with 60 teachers. In September 2024, Dhruv Global School opened its first international branch in Dubai, Al Barsha South/Arjan, expanding its CBSE education model with Yogic values to the United Arab Emirates. (Sources trace the Indian history to 2005 and the 2007 campus move, with later recognition in 2010 and significant growth by 2012–2013; the Dubai expansion is documented in 2024.)

Community

Dhruv Global School positions itself as a community hub where students, teachers, parents, and the wider community collaborate to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment. The school emphasizes a global perspective, cultural awareness, and environmental responsibility as core elements of its ethos. The school calendar includes events, trips, and performing and visual arts programs that engage the entire school community. Dhruv describes its approach as involving families and communities in meaningful ways to support student growth.

Parent-Teacher Association

The school describes itself as community‑focused and notes partnerships with families as part of the learning process. Family engagement is reflected in the admissions framework, including a Parent School Contract that governs enrollment and ongoing parent–school relations. Prospective families can book a campus tour and consult admissions counselors as part of early engagement. The events and programs calendar—such as performing and visual arts activities and field trips—provides regular opportunities for family participation on campus. Public materials do not outline a named PTA with specific committees or PTA-led events.
