Emirates National Schools were formed by Presidential Decree and are owned by the Presidential Court. ENS opened its doors in 2002 in Mohammed Bin Zayed City. Since 2002, ENS has grown to six campuses. Ras Al Khaimah is part of the ENS network, serving the emirate. Five established campuses (Al Ain City, MBZ City, Abu Dhabi City, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah) offer the International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP, MYP, DP).
Special Events are an important aspect of ENS student life, enhancing learning, fostering cultural identity, and developing international awareness. Events are organized in key domains including National Identity and Cultural Heritage (UAE National Day, Martyrs' Day, Flag Day, Eid and Ramadan activities, Quran recitals, and heritage initiatives), Academic and IB Showcase events (Capstone Projects, Celebration of Learning), and Global Citizenship and Community Engagement (International Day, Earth Day, service initiatives, community engagement, and Sports Day). Co-curricular offerings include athletics, enrichment clubs, and after-school activities, with field trips integrated into the curriculum. Field trips support inquiry-based learning with safety and parental consent; volunteering is encouraged and coordinated through official channels.
Each ENS campus has a vibrant Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) dedicated to fostering a strong community partnership. The PTA works to solve common problems, plan student activities, and build a supportive school environment. All parents are encouraged to participate; meetings are generally held monthly and are open to everyone. For more information and a schedule of meeting dates, contact the Office of the Campus Principal. The Parent Advisory Council is a formal body that works directly with school leadership to provide strategic feedback and recommendations, with council members drawn from the PTAs of the campuses on the site.
Emirates National School Ras Al Khaimah is part of the Emirates National Schools network, established by Presidential Decree and opened in 2002. AP courses are available for Grades 11–12, and IB Diploma Programme courses for Grades 11–12 prepare students for external exams; the IB Diploma or IB Course Certificates may be awarded in addition to the ENS diploma. Five ENS campuses offer the IB continuum. The school promotes Global Citizenship and Community Engagement through service initiatives and UAE cultural events; ASA runs eight-week blocks for Grades 1–12. This combination supports students pursuing diverse international opportunities.
