It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The Ibrahimiyah School was founded in Abu Dhabi in 1990 with a British curriculum and about 130 students. Between 1999 and 2009 it rebranded as International Community School. From 2010 to 2014, the school moved to larger premises to accommodate growth. In 2013, ICS opened City Centre, its second Abu Dhabi campus. In 2014 Mushrif became the first purpose-built ICS campus, and in 2022 Mushrif earned IB World School status.
ICS operates multiple campuses across Abu Dhabi and serves thousands of students. A hallmark of the community is a strong emphasis on STEM, highlighted by a 2017 visit from astronaut Col. Al Worden. Students have won competitions such as the 2018 Water Rocket Competition and the 2019 Think Science Competition. The Endeavour Scholarships have enabled students to attend Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, in 2019 and 2021.
A formal PTA is not described in ICS's public materials. Parent access is provided via the Parent Login portal, and communications come from the head office. ICS branches include Mushrif, Al Danah, Al Falah City, Khalifa City, and Al Manhal. Family involvement is shown in events such as astronaut visits and science competitions. For official details on any parent groups or volunteering opportunities, contact the Head Office.
