Spanish is taught as a specialist subject in Lower School. Global Studies includes language-related learning. English as an Additional Language (EAL) provides ongoing language support with specialist teachers. Home Language Enrichment is available after school for many languages.
Lower School English language learners are supported in an immersion setting in the Early Years, using a translanguaging approach. Home Language Enrichment for many global languages is offered after school.
ACS International School Hillingdon is a co-educational day school for ages 3–18, part of the ACS International Schools network in England. The curriculum combines international standards across the school, with Lower School from Pre-K to Grade 4 and an Upper School for students. Lower School uses dedicated teachers, one full-time teacher per class, and a teaching assistant in Pre-K and Kindergarten; technology is integrated with one-to-one iPads. Forest School and Outdoor Learning are part of program. The school provides UK Birth to Five Matters and US Common Core anchors and leads to International Baccalaureate Diploma, US High School Diploma, and AP examinations.
