Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

Sport, arts and culture are central to the programme. Every pupil has three hours of physical education per week. In addition to on-site spaces, nearby facilities such as Masbro Centre, Brook Green and Ravenscourt Park are used to offer swimming for all classes, as well as climbing, circus, skating and acro-sport. A bike-ability week is provided for Year 6 in partnership with BikeWorks. The arts curriculum draws on London's cultural offerings and includes music and other arts, with some lessons taught in French or English.

Sports Facilities

The school combines on-site provision with access to nearby venues to support sport and physical education. All pupils receive three hours of PE per week. In addition to internal spaces, activities such as swimming for all classes, climbing, circus, skating and acro-sport are offered using local facilities like Masbro Centre, Brook Green and Ravenscourt Park, with a Year 6 bike-ability week delivered in partnership with BikeWorks. The school runs inter-class athletic meetings, inter-school competitions, an annual charity run, Sports Day and a car-free day to promote active travel. Green classes are organized from kindergarten to encourage regular participation in sport.

Academic Facilities

The school has two libraries with over 21,000 books and magazines in French and English, making them among the richest AEFE libraries in London. The Central Document Library (BCD) is a reading hub and writers' workshop run by the librarian-teacher Evelyne Hagg and also serves as a research library with its books and computer lab. The English Library contains more than 3,500 resources and welcomes pupils from CP on Wednesday mornings under the supervision of the English librarian Hannah John.
