Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Enrollment/Inscription: Before you start, read the attached guide to avoid common mistakes. The guide presents step-by-step the pre-registration procedure, the required supporting documents, how the enrolment commissions operate, and an overview of the school from primary to high school. Pre-registration is free; the Initial Registration Fee is payable only after a place is accepted. Online platform: Pre-registration for the 2026/2027 academic year must be submitted via Skolengo. Create an account in your own name and select 'First enrolment in this school'. If you already have children enrolled, sign in and proceed through the Registrations steps. When the file is complete, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with the child's file number (PT-). Admission priority: All applications are reviewed by the enrolment committee; the order in which applications were received is not taken into account. Eligibility depends on the number of places available and the priority criteria detailed in the Admission Priority Criteria. Calendar: The calendar shows deadlines for submitting applications and the period within which decisions from the enrolment committees will be communicated. 2. Re-registration: Each year families must re-register for the following year and pay the re-registration fees. The re-registration campaign takes place in February and is announced by email to parents or legal guardians. 3. Leaving: Families leaving the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle during the school year must inform the Admissions department by email and fill out a leaving form. The primary school secretariats must also be informed of the departure. Exeat certificates are available from the last day of classes. To obtain it, Primary pupils must return all library books and settle any administrative/financial obligations; Secondary pupils must return all library books, hand back the catering and library cards, and settle any administrative/financial obligations. 4. General Rules: Payments are by bank transfer. Initial Registration Fees are non-refundable in case of withdrawal. The school year is divided into three terms: September–December (4 months), January–March (3 months), and April–June (3 months). Fees are due for each term attended. The dining package chosen at the start of the school year remains valid for the entire year and cannot be changed mid-year. 5. The Scholarship: La bourse scolaire is a means-tested aid awarded to French families via the Consulate; it covers all children from nursery to terminale. The scholarship application for a school year is processed starting in February of the preceding year. Check the Consulate of France in London's site (Conditions d'attributions) for eligibility. 6. Lycee Français de Charles de Gaulle de Londres is a French international school, governed by AEFE and owned by the French government. It teaches ages 2 to 18 across curricula: French, British and bespoke. The French-section aligns with the French Ministry of Education and offers a British Section plus two tracks: the Plurilingual Section and the International Section. The plurilingual track enables study of languages such as German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Arabic, with the option of IGCSE English Language at the end of Seconde for English learners. The International Section strengthens English language and culture; continuing in Seconde yields two IGCSE exams (English Language and English Literature), and continuing to Première and Terminale leads to the Baccalauréat Français International. British Section follows the English curriculum up to GCSE and A-Levels, with compulsory French. Pupils receive at least three reports yearly. Founded in 1915, it blends roots with international education.
