Facilities Overview

The 7-acre garden campus is located in Kingston Upon Thames, 12 miles from central London. Boarding houses are modern and secure, with well-appointed bedrooms, communal lounges and study areas, and peaceful gardens. All meals are provided for boarders. The Arts facilities include Performing Arts spaces and Art and Design Studios with a kiln, potter's wheels, a printing press, 3D printers, a laser cutter and electronics, and MacBooks with Adobe Creative Suite.

Sports Facilities

The school offers a diverse range of sports throughout the year, including volleyball, soccer, cross country, social tennis, basketball and tennis, plus strength and conditioning sessions. Competitive and collaborative opportunities include weekly fixtures with the London Schools Sports Association (LSSA), and varsity teams travel internationally to tournaments hosted by the International School Sports Association. Each spring, Middle School students participate in the RSHM Sports Festival, a three-day celebration across our Global Network. The program emphasizes holistic wellbeing, including fuelling our bodies with the correct nutrients and balancing academics with physical activity, alongside resilience-building training.

Academic Facilities

Drama, Music and Dance are studied by all students from Grade 6, and Theatre, Music and Dance are offered as IB Diploma subjects. Visual Arts resources include Art and Design Studios with a kiln, potter's wheels, a printing press, 3D printers, a laser cutter and electronics, and MacBooks with Adobe Creative Suite. Marymount's Enrichment Programme draws on Type I enrichment, Type II enrichment and Type III enrichment to challenge students and cultivate inquiry. The Learning Resources Programme provides weekly 1:1 or small group support to help students become highly self-regulated learners.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The Performing Arts opportunities include the annual school production, Choir, Orchestra and other ensembles, Dance showcases, LAMDA and other music and drama examinations, the Vocal and Musical Ensemble Performance Evening, and the Summer Performing Arts Concert. Visual Arts resources are complemented by Art and Design Studios with diverse materials and STEAM links. Boarders participate in clubs, sports, arts and leadership opportunities through activities and the Boarding Council, plus cultural and educational trips around London and the UK. The International Schools Theatre Association festival is hosted with Marymount students joining peers from other network schools.

Marymount International School London is an independent Catholic day and boarding school for girls aged 11–18, on a seven-acre campus in Kingston upon Thames, about 12 miles from central London. It is an IB World School offering the IB Middle Years Programme (ages 11–16) and the IB Diploma Programme (ages 16–19). The Diploma Programme uses six subject groups, three HL and three SL, plus TOK, the Extended Essay and CAS; the EE can be written in seven languages. The MYP provides eight subject groups, a Personal Project and a focus on concept-based learning, contexts and Service as Action. The curriculum develops language skills with mother-tongue support. Facilities include Performing Arts spaces; Art and Design Studios with a kiln, 3D printers, a laser cutter and MacBooks with Adobe Creative Suite. The campus features boarding houses with meals provided and learning-support. Marymount is connected to the RSHM network and an international community.
