French and Spanish are taught via the communicative approach in Language Acquisition. Language and Literature is studied within the IB Programme. Students learn and practice both languages through interaction with each other and the teacher, studying French and Spanish works, including literature in both languages, and through practice in the classroom and at home to give a rounded ability to use both languages in all types of situations. Situated in High Wycombe, The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School is a co-educational, age 3–18 day school in England.
