Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Brighton College Vietnam opened in August 2023 as part of the international expansion of Brighton College, a UK-based independent school group. It was established through a partnership between Brighton College UK and Vietnamese investors to bring the Brighton College educational model to Hanoi. The school is part of a wider family of Brighton College campuses located in the UK, UAE, Singapore, and Thailand. Its founding marked the first time the Brighton College network opened a school in Vietnam, with the Hanoi campus designed to serve students aged 3 to 18.

Community

The school community includes students, parents, and staff who participate in regular school activities and cultural events. Brighton College Vietnam hosts events such as student showcases, performances, and parent information sessions that help families stay engaged with school life. Community activities provide opportunities for students to connect across year levels and for parents to be involved in the broader school environment.

Parent-Teacher Association

Brighton College Vietnam has an active PTA that serves as a link between families and the school. The PTA participates in organising school events, supporting community gatherings, and helping families connect with one another, particularly those newly arrived in Hanoi. Activities may include parent-workshops, cultural celebrations, or support for school performances and festivals. The PTA also provides opportunities for parents to volunteer in various roles throughout the school year. Although the school does not publish detailed lists of PTA sub-groups, it presents the association as a key part of strengthening community engagement.
