RGS Vietnam offers over 50 extracurricular activities each year, with lunchtime, after school and weekend options. Academic Pursuits include a Student-led Science Club, World Scholars Cup and English Fluency Club. There are two ECAs sessions running from early September and late January, allowing students to change activities. These ECAs supplement the curriculum by broadening students' academic interests and encouraging inquiry.
Visual and Performing Arts options include Ballet, Orchestra, Guitar, Drama and Water Colour painting. Orchestra and other ensembles are available as ECAs to support performing arts. Students can pursue visual arts and creative activities as part of the ECA program. The arts ECAs provide opportunities to develop creativity alongside academic study.
Social and Cultural ECAs include Public Forum Debate, Stress management, Korean Culture and History and Nature Club. The RGSV community is multinational, with around 30 nationalities and many languages spoken; English is the language of instruction. These clubs support cultural awareness and cross cultural exchange within the school community. The environment complements language learning and global awareness.
Social and hobby clubs are offered as part of the ECA program and take place at lunchtime, after school and on weekends. Examples include Public Forum Debate, Stress management, Korean Culture and History and Nature Club. The range of activities provides recreational and interest based opportunities to connect with peers. Two ECA sessions per year allow students to switch activities as needed.
Annual residential trips for Year 6 to Year 13 are a compulsory part of the program. Trips typically last three days and two nights and aim to build independence, teamwork and life skills. They are designed to motivate students to be active global citizens through team adventures and service projects in Vietnam, organized with The Learning Project. Destinations include Cuc Phuong, Mai Chau, Ba Vi, Sapa and Cat Ba.
Student leadership is provided through formal roles in Student Bodies including Prefects, Student Council, MUN, TEDx and Upper Secondary Prom. These groups offer opportunities to lead events, develop public speaking and participate in school governance. The community also includes school houses and a Parent-Teacher Association that support leadership and service initiatives.
The ECA program includes a broad sports offering such as Swimming, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Biathlon and Yoga. Activities run during lunch, after school and on weekends, supporting physical fitness and wellbeing. The focus is on developing life skills through sport and active participation in the school community.
Reigate Grammar School Vietnam (RGSV) is a not-for-profit international school in Hanoi that blends a traditional British independent school education with Vietnamese values. It serves pupils aged 3 to 18 and operates from a purpose-built four-storey campus on a 20,000-square-metre site with a total floor area of 39,800 square metres, located in the Dai Kim urban area. The campus includes two indoor swimming pools, a gym and stage, fully equipped science laboratories, a library and media centre, ICT facilities with 3D printing, a football pitch, outdoor play areas, and dedicated language, arts and music rooms.
