Madison Bilingual at Chihuahua campus was established in 1999. That same year it applied to become a requesting school before the IB. It complied, through four long years, with each of the requirements to become authorized to offer the Primary Years Program (PYP) for Kindergarten through 5th grade in 2003. It has all grades from Nursery through Junior High.
Madison Bilingual Chihuahua is a private day school serving Nursery through Junior High, part of the Madison group of international schools. The campus delivers a constructivist, bilingual education across the Primary and Secondary levels, with the Primary years aligned to the IB PYP and the Secondary years pursuing the IB MYP, awaiting authorization. The Preschool program provides 100 percent English immersion, while Primary and Secondary instruction uses bilingual, subject-by-subject delivery in English and Spanish. Facilities support a hands-on curriculum: there are classrooms for Kinder, Primary, and Secondary, plus a Kindergarten courtyard, an Early Stimulation Gym, a Science Laboratory, a Computer Lab, an Art Room, and a Music Room. Outdoor spaces include Primary and Secondary playgrounds, a Multipurpose Court, and a Soccer Field. After-school academies and evening programs extend learning, and a well-equipped Library and on-site cafeteria support student life. The school emphasizes language development, arts, and interdisciplinary, project-based learning today.
