- British external examination fees: Year 11 (IGCSE) approximately EUR 1,000/year; Year 12 and Year 13 (IB) approximately EUR 1,000/year; Year 6, 9 and 10 assessment tests approx EUR 50/year (exact amounts communicated before billing).
- ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) classes for non-Spanish-speaking pupils from Year 3 onward when required: 1st year EUR 400 for the full academic year (payable at enrolment; non-refundable); 2nd year EUR 400 (payable at reservation).
Transport (School Bus)
- Academic year (10 months): Roundtrip EUR 183 per month; One-way EUR 109 per month.
- Occasional / random months (single-month service): Roundtrip EUR 217; One-way EUR 145. One-time service (subject to availability): EUR 13.
Payment Options & Billing Schedule
- 10-instalment plan: available only via SEPA direct debit (charged on the 2nd day of each month from September to June). Monthly instalments are calculated by dividing the total annual tuition by 10 (equal payments).
- Annual or termly payments: accepted by bank transfer and must be paid in advance before the start of the year or term. Termly payments are processed as three term payments per academic year.
Discounts, Charges & Penalties
- Early payment discount: 2% discount for annual payments made in full by 1 September.
- Bank charge for declined bank transaction: EUR 30.
- Consequence of unpaid fees: suspension of contracted services until outstanding balance is settled.
Withdrawal & Refunds
- Registration fee: non-refundable.
- ELE first-year fee (EUR 400): non-refundable when charged at enrolment.
- Withdrawal notice: a 30-day notice is required to withdraw a pupil so that the following monthly payment is not charged.
- Absence policy: fees are not reduced or reimbursed for absence due to travel, illness, holidays, or any other reason.
Boarding
- Boarding provision: Day school only (no boarding facilities).
Other Financial Conditions
- Annual tuition increase: tuition will rise annually by CPI + 2% in line with Spanish labour regulations.

Shackleton International School is a British-affiliated institution offering the National Curriculum of England and Wales, with Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme for ages 16 to 18. The school serves students aged 3 to 18 in Foundation Stage, Primary and Secondary, and is an IB World School. A German Curriculum supports multilingualism, with German taught daily and English immersion through Total English Teaching.
