Located in Nyborg on the Danish island of Funen, Nyborg Gymnasium is a self-governing public upper secondary school offering seven entry pathways, including the STX, HF, IB Diploma Programme, EUX, and EUD, plus a one-year 10th grade option and a Kostskole boarding facility. The school operates with two departments: STX/HF/HHX subjects and Electives, allowing a broad range of study directions. The IB Diploma Programme provides six subjects, with the core elements Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity, and Service, and flexible subject choices with potential for seven subjects under approval. Boarding houses over 190 students with on-site staff. Facilities include a study center, library, and a STX-integrated makerspace and designlab, supporting hands-on learning. After School offers sport, music, drama, and other activities, many conducted in English. A strong emphasis on practical projects and international activities is evident through clubs such as MUN, Astronomy, and a Francophone culture program.
