Curriculum
Cambridge (Primary), British Curriculum
Sycamore International School offers the Cambridge Primary curriculum alongside the British curriculum for learners aged 1 to 12 in Uganda. The school delivers an interactive, reflective learning experience that builds lifelong skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, innovation, research, risk-taking and strategic thinking. Core subjects—Math, English and Science—are complemented by Global Perspectives and a broad co-curricular program that integrates field trips, P.E., music, ICT, French and Kiswahili into daily learning. Bible teachings are incorporated in lessons, reflecting the school's values-based approach. Weekly enrichment activities include sports (football, basketball, badminton, volleyball), cookery, brain games (Chess, Brain Master mental math, Scrabble), ICT (coding, animation), creative writing, visual arts (painting, drawing, crafts) and performing arts (music, ballet, drama, guitar, piano). The school emphasises community service and student leadership, with a formal Student Leadership program and a Student Council supported by staff. This distinctive blend prepares students for study in international context and beyond.
